FIRE IN RUBIN!!! EEP!

Attention: There was a fire in Rubin this past Sunday night. Yeah or at least that's what we thought when the fire alarm went off circa 10. Twasn't fun. At all. We weren't allowed in the building for a solid hour and a half. ON A SUNDAY NIGHT! Mhmm... They think someone pulled it, or that someone was smoking. But who? I'll tell you who, someone who didn't have a lot of homework, that's who. Certainly no one in my Politics or Con West classes. Entirely too much work for both. Nonetheless it was a bonding experience for all of us Rubinites. Yes Mother, that's what you're paying out the ass for, bonding experiences with pot smoking, fire alarm setter-offers. On the upside, I've seen Haley at least 10 times in the past week. Quit stalking me dude!!

Maxi Pad in the City

Maxwell came to visit this weekend :o) Friday night we went to Spice, this amazing Thai restaurant. Then, with the roomies, we went to this Chocolate Bar, Max Brenner, where ate entirely too much chocolate. If you can imagine cramming Hershey, PA into a wee little building, you can pretty much imagine both heaven and Max Brenner. It was like actually living in The Chocolate Factory, and we were all Charlie, or maybe Oompa Loompas. They even had Chocolate Soup... Seriously. It was bomb like whoa.
We legit did everything there is to do in the city- went to Central Park, The MoMA, Washington Square Park, Times Square, Morningside Heights, and basically everywhere else you could imagine. This was ferrreal the best weekend in recent memory. Yay. And may I just HOLLA at the fact that I'm going to be home in 9 days? HOLLA!

Ferrreal

Last night the girls from the 6th floor went to El Burrito Loco on West 4th for some Margaritas and authentic Mexican food. You know, they tell you that they make their drinks strong, but you don't believe them until you wake up the next morning and look at your pictures... We had a crazy night. After the restaurant, we came back to Rubin and proceeded to love life. We met up with some random people, including one dude from England named Jack. I seriously wanted to put him in a box and keep him for the rest of my life... Oh those Brits. We all sat up talking for hours, eating cashews and making other people feel awkward, it was awesome. Last night sealed the deal- I love it here.

A Night on the Town

Last week, a ton of girls from my floor and I all went to a VMA After-Party thinking it was going to be at some hip club. Yeah... it was at a church. We were kind of sketched out, but we made friends with Boris the doorman so we decided to stick around. On the inside there were techno lights, creepy dudes and at least 3 bars- it was gnarly. We danced until we could barely walk and then trucked the 15 blocks back to Rubin. Seriously, I think part of my foot is still numb from wearing heels that night!

I went to a VMA After-Party, HOLLA!
