1 Week

There are precisely 3 things in the way of me being at home right now: my Spanish, Con West and Comparative Politics exams. Boo. On the plus side... on the plus side? There is no plus side. This might just be the hardest week of my life.

Yes I realize that I go to NYU blah blah so lucky blah blah. I know. I'm well aware. But that won't make my exams any easier. Neither will complaining on my blog. Right. On that note....

THE HUSH SOUND

Last night Liz, Steph, Tiffany and I went to see The Hush Sound at the Knitting Factory, and may I just say... "What?! JACKPOT!" Seriously, it was an amazing show! This Is Me Smiling, This Providence and Murder By Death opened for them. TIMS was so money. The lead singer ended up signing my arm and a CD for me. So basically we're in love now. Pause not. Anyway, This Providence was super cute and super fun. They're from Seattle, but their sound is completely un-Seattle-esque. Liz and I are currently obsessed with them. Murder By Death was modef not my favorite. They were different, and... interesting. The girl in the band played, what we figured out, was the electric cello. It appeared as if she was having sex with it, awkwardness ensued.

But then THE HUSH SOUND came on and made my life perfect :o) We were front row center for them, and I got some major eye contact. Basically Bob, the lead singer, and I had concert eye sex. Every so often, Greta would look at me and smile. I felt loved. Her voice was amazing. When you compound that with the fact that she's only 18, she's basically awesomeness in human form. It was such a fun show. And can we talk about the drummer?! Hello! Darren, hottest drummer alive. Wow. Plus, he was probably the best drummer I've seen in a long time. I don't really have much to say about the bassist, except- get a haircut. Cheya, after they went off-stage, I yoinked a set-list. HELL YES! So yay! I left with a signed arm, signed CD and a set-list. It's highly likely that Bob himself wrote on the sheet of paper that is now taped to my wall. ZOMG.

Sad, Sad Day.

Today, I discovered that America's Sweethearts, Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson, have called it quits. Seriously?! Dub Tee? I thought they were in it for the long haul... I guess I was wrong. There has been speculation that it was because of Rachel's blossoming friendship with Zach Braff. If I were given a choice between the two men, I would modef pick Adam. I mean come on! Betch.

Sources have also been citing JC Chasez as the cause of their relationship problems. Don't even get me started on him. The hair, the career, the dancing... yikes. Well, another one bites the dust. Just further proof that couples can't survive in Hollywood- Jen and Brad, Reese and Ryan, and now Rachel and Adam. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go cry in the bathroom.
